Become a Conversation Friend
The Conversation Friend Program matches international students, scholars or spouses with a local FFIS volunteer for one-on-one English conversation. Conversation Friends meet weekly for English conversation and practice.
Host a Student
The Short-Term Homestay program is a cultural exchange program of FFIS and not just temporary housing. The purpose of the homestay program is to welcome new international students to our community by providing short-term hospitality, settling-in support and a safe place to stay before students move into their permanent housing.
Let’s make a difference together.
FFIS is a non-profit volunteer organization with no paid staff, and we receive limited funding from the University of Oregon. Your voluntary donation to FFIS supports our ongoing programs for international students, scholars and their dependents throughout the year.
